eTherapy Terms of Service
By using any of the Empowering eTherapy services, you agree to the following:
eTherapy is a great tool for addressing many of life's issues, concerns and questions but it is not equivalent to in-person Therapy. You put forth that you have read and understand the eTherapy and Therapy? sections of this site. You specifically understand that the process of eTherapy cannot provide emergency/crisis services or a diagnosis. You are responsible for assessing your mental health needs and, if already participating in other mental health services, discussing with your provider(s) to determine if eTherapy is advisable. We will work together to help you move toward your goals, but there are no guarantees offered or implied. The purpose of eTherapy is to provide you with feedback from a trained professional that you will find useful in addressing life issues and choices. Much of the value of eTherapy is derived from the effort put in by the client. Little research has been done to prove the effectiveness of eTherapy. As your eTherapist I agree to use my skills and knowledge to the best of my ability to address your questions and concerns.
